Van service today

WCF

Help Support WCF:

VW Crafter 57 plate with 88k on clock. Needed 4 new shocks and 2 new leaf springs due to weight I carry. Good for many more years but would like a long wheel base on my next van because I'm combining WC with Property Maintenance.

Last year my 1.6 Vivaro (40k miles), last job of the day on my way home it lost power. I drove/rolled it to a safe spot. Had to get towed to a garage. Mechanic thought it was just the turbo at first. After checking it the turbo had knackard the engine. Had to replace engine, new turbo, new injectors.... Took about eight weeks to fix.. Not had any issues since but it was expensive to get it back on the road. I will keep it for as long as I can now but would not buy another one.

Best tip is to get rid of it now whilst it's worth money and working. Just because you've had replacements doesn't mean it will fix it the engine itself is too underpowered to pull the weight hence why they stick big turbos on to compensate it mostly to do with keeping emissions lower. Get rid

That's the reason we are better buying new or nearly new van. Swapping all the system over can be a headache. I would prefer to have a new van kitted out and sell the old one with everything in it.
