What length pole

WCF

Help Support WCF:

I just bought the slx 30 and extended it to full to see how long it would reach on my 2 storey house. If have a single storey extension, and my roof angle is not very steep.

I was hoping that my slx 30 would also be able to do velux windows, but at the angle i need to use above extension i think i will need at least 10 more feet (2 extensions on my slx 30). Hope that helps.

edit: this is info direct from alex gardiner.

Thanks for that advice Alex. It's good to know that the sections are not fibreglass, but carbon. I'll need to think about this now and put an order in the next week or so.

From your experience Alex, what size pole would you need for

1. Two storey, with velux windows or solar panels?

2. Three storey?

3. Three storey with velux or solar panels?

Thanks

1. Two storey, with velux windows or solar panels? - 35ft will just do it if they are veluxes set at the fire regulation distance from the gutter on a modern height house. If it is a Victorian house then you would need up to a 45ft pole.

2. Three storey? 30ft pole

3. Three storey with velux or solar panels? This would probably need a 50-55ft pole.
