BUT ..life is funny most of the time..

My patch is a mixture of rural and small country town and there is plenty of work to be had. Rural doesnt necessarily mean driving around all over the place. I would say that 60% of my working days are very compact with the car never moving, once parked up. Rural areas also tend to have lots of massive houses to clean.....loads of money to be made there.
