WCF

Help Support WCF:

one thing i have to say is i used hot water on a forst clean wood sash and strugled so sprayed some upvc max on it then scrubed strate away and the dirt just melted off with ease

Not a debate just reviews
Any product used wrong can cause damage
like tfr use it wrong and it will cause irreversible damage
ubik used wrong is amazing paint stripper lol
More isn't always better and plastic is a fragile material
I recently dropped all my moerman blades in a bucket with some diluted ubik next morning the black channels were shiny silver. All the paint had dissolved and left the bare metal
So many chems about at mo that people believe we need them for everything and it's just not the case

Hah. Maybe start a new thread on how to 'pimp your blades' with a splash of ubik2000.

Shiny blade anyone?

I've used tfr and soudal solvent n cream cleaner. And use tfr 1st to get rid of surface crap.then cream clesn to get whiteness back. Depending on the type of plastic is wot results u get. Recycled plastic is not going to look much better after.

I appreciate this is an old thread, but always ask myself what the difference is between fascia cleaning and fascia restoration.
I always make sure the customer understands that we will clean his gutters and fascias, but can't guarantee they will look like they were fitted yesterday.

If our standard CIF cream or The Pink Stuff doesn't work, then that's the best we can do. @Part Timer has suggested a mix of watered down bleached sprayed onto their brush and applied 'dry' is his solution.
I did try this on some tiger strips recently but, it didn't completely remove them.

I once tried lemon Harpic toilet bowl cleaner (because of the colour) on the brush head, but that didn't work. I was hoping the thick consistency of the cleaner would be easier to apply.

Stay well away from cream cleaner as it's technically an abrasive
I migrated away from Pink Stuff and Astonish cookware paste for those reasons. Took the shine off.

I like Barkeepers Friend powder as as sprinkled onto wet sills and frames and worked into and left a bit brings up frames and sills well and also ok on the glass removing hardwater stains.

Still use RAZR wash, no nonsense degreaser, w.u.l and bleach for various other cleans.
