Wooden decking clean

You can use a very weak hypo solution and rinse it well but there are better things on the market

Benz biocide gives the best finish but it would take a couple of weeks to get the finished result

Not tried the stuff Green uses

Oxalic acid does the same job as hypo on bare wood but doesn't bleach out the colour

You can buy it as a powder like sugar and dissolve it in water

1 kilo will make around 9 litres and 1 litre will do around 12 sq m

It doesn't need the ppe of other harsher chems either as it is relatively harmless and you actually eat it if you eat rhubarb

It doesn't do well on really bad stained decking but it will bring the colour back on decking that has been hypo'd

Do some more homework @daveyboy Oxalic will neautralize hypo and brighten wood but in the wrong doses it's evert bit as nasty as other chems.

Also you mention ruhbarb..... leaves are fatally toxic and totally untraceable.

And the leaves are toxic with something other than oxalic acid lol

I was talking about the correct doseage for it's intended purpose mate

Not harmful used correctly

Obviously you wouldn't mess about with it or drink it

It is also in spinach and other green veg

ive got some wood decking to clean at some point but they have dogs so cems may not be a good ider ide like to bio it but would it be safe for the dogs once dry ?
