Gore-tex gear is the best as is breathable but still keeps you dry but is not cheap.

What waterproofs do you use Smurf?Sent from my RM-976_1115 using Tapatalk

I learnt in the army..skin is waterproof. .get wet and live with it..lol

On the plus side I have the choice to stay indoors whereas I never had that luxury then:coffee:

Done a bit today and now wussed out having a cuppa at home

You will have also learnt in the army getting cold can be a killer too and also to look after your feet.... dry socks and all that /emoticons/biggrin.png

Cold is ok as long as you warm up regularly. .hypothermia isn't fun from experience.

I always look after me plates as sore flakey scabby wet cold feet don't do it for me..

I wear trainers mostly while working but will change socks etc if I need to to keep em dry and warm

cold feet = cold davey

Never getting out of the house , lashing down , heaviest rain of the year. Been helping a local shop lifting Xmas trees down from her loft , getting her windows ready for Xmas .. That's killed a hour.

To be honest it's not just the cleaning in the rain. I don't wanna get soaked through either. It's raining ere & windy & I just think its a waste of time going out. I wouldn't clean in the rain. I don't think it's fair. Plus the frames are soaked & drip. The bushes are wet. It's just my opinion & I know people clean in rain but not me. I'm sure most understand if its raining. All mine I cancelled today & they totally understood. I do put away in the summer for days like this.

Depends what outside cleaning services you offer aswell apart from window cleaning I suppose as alot of them it doesn't matter if it's raining or not. However I do draw the line when it starts lightning and/or gets very blustery on a job.

Well i went out and got wet doing 6 houses between the downpours, cancelled all the others today as it did not seen fair on my customers, they are fine about it, so from now on no more working in the rain for me

Why not fair on custys??

If glass is clean it is irrelevant what the weather is doing...rain will dry off and leave windows just as clean as if it rained afterwards
