I hit it wit the virosol but it was still a pain in the behind lol. Ill be double the price on all glass roofs from now on. Ive done 2-3 before but this was by far the worstWhen i do them i spray virosol on and i leave it for 5 minutes then is use customers tap on a vikan brush give it some welly lol i get it up lovery and clean then i go back to a good brush and pure water comes up like a treat but you need to price it up double what you would charge a poly carbonate roof
give me a link for one of these brushes your recommending for my pole mate ? thanksI clean them often, never had a problem, easy and quick to do with the right brush and a good flow of pure water – no chemicals needed.
Use a boars hair brush, if you don’t have one use a Nylon filament brush – these are absorbent filaments, what ever you use don’t use a low to non absorbent filament such as polyester filament, a one hour job could take you 10 times longer or you will need to put in 10 times the effort.

I would rather spray with virosol than spend all that extras time scrubbing. It was covered it dry green stuff (algae I think it is?) the stuff was rock hard.I clean them often, never had a problem, easy and quick to do with the right brush and a good flow of pure water – no chemicals needed.

Im not a fan of e-cover, before I started with vir0sol I used fairy. It worked okay but theres alot of scrubbing invloved. Virosol isnt that expensive I think I got mine for about 10-15 quid for 5 litre. Its also good for cleaning van/cars. I spray some on before I was my van, then just go over it with water. Comes up great!mk can u spray ecover ? and will it do the same job as virosol ?
You have my interest, could you link me to the brush you speak of?harunh, you can contact me direct if you want a brush.
In some cases using a chemical or detergent to aid in cleaning is fine, but you can still use a different brush.
Just make sure the brushes are actually different, I have read post where a window cleaner says he has 5 or 6 brushes, with all the same type of brush filament, having two very different brushes would be of more use.
Mk Cleaners, A Boars Hair brush will remove Green & Black algae from a glass roof not matter how many years it’s been on there. Once you have washed away any grit and at the same time given the pure water a chance to soak in, you can apply more pressure and I can assure you the algae will be cleaned off almost immediately.
You don’t have to buy my brushes, but if you do want to buy a different brush, make sure the brush does have a different filament, and then you will be trying something different.
In this instance - Brush/Filament difference doesn’t mean a change in filament colour or stiffness or length, shape, size or weight; these changes are too small to be expecting a big difference when cleaning.

Seriously? lol. I find it has the opposite effect. Dodger had a good example of this on his facebook page.I find Virosol makes plastic dull.
YOU DON'T LIKE ECOVER HOW DARE YOU lol
