It would be good to see trad and wfp at 'normal' working pace from both @Pjj and @Yogi1872 . I get you both clean windows differently and that's fine, always good to see proper people work not some of the youtubers!!

I clean windows using wfp top. Half my run I do using wfp.afyer changing it all over to wfp i changed half back as it was quicker doing it trad.

Which backs up my point more is you saying 40 houses a day, check my post history I've said in the past the company round here we had to do 43 a day for your quote, so we are about bang on with that number. I've seen people finish at 12 o'clock as they have done there 43. It's job and knock everyday.

We all clean between 4-6 houses per hour per man so in 8 hours do between 32 - 48 depending if they have extensions , conservatory’s etc all done WFP 43 houses by lunch time ????think you must be doing fronts only

Half a job Harry springs to mind, I don't see how you even consider that only cleaning the glass trad is a proper job, are actually doing a full wfp clean frames and sills?

For me, I want to provide the best service and I charge accordingly I also want to walk away from every job knowing I've provided the best service because I care about the service I provide and what the customer thinks, to me, it seems like you clearly don't care

That's all anyone does around here, the customers don't ask to get it done either tbh. The handful of people who have asked me then I wipe it away . There's plenty of other options available if they weren't happy with it. Detailing and wiping takes longer than cleaning the glass. The clues in the name, window cleaner. Not windows and frames cleaner. It would take ages doing all that trad.

Yeah I clean everything when I use the wfp. Doesn't make sense not to as it would end up leaving streaks

For that house in the picture which has 4 windows pays £7. Even with doing the frames you wouldn't get much more. The big window cleaning company around here are cheap. Alot of people moan about him and aren't happy but since he's so big he's everywhere.

You also clean wooden frames with wfp which isn't providing the best service. If you Google using wfp on wooden windows the first thing that comes up is a specialist company who make wooden windows. They say its not good for the windows. So unless your going to tell me you know more about the windows than the people who actually make them, your ignoring what specialists in that department advise.

Find me any company who makes wooden windows who advises cleaning them that way.

You also sign up customers using go cardless and only tell them of the benifits of it while conveniently not telling them about the main negative in that by signing up there giving you authority to take up to £500 a day from there bank. You fail to tell them that because you know hardly anyone would sign up knowing that. Not very open amd honest with your customers.

Totally agree with this , don’t think it shows a very professional attitude and doubt many would recommend that type of service. If we did work that way we would loose 99% of our customers over night

The street I'm in today there's no 3 bedrooms, only 4 bed detached. Video quality will be shocking as I put it in my pocket when started. Take away the time spent showing it and thats 4 bedroom detached in under 8 minutes. There's 19 in this street and I do 17 of them. Probably not even 7 minutes tbh.
The video says it's to long to play. I've taken a screen shot of when I started the video and you can see its 8 mins long and that's with me walking round it first. Doing the backs then getting my phone out and showing the backs done then finishing it. Look at the time into the video and that's me starting it so 7 mins.

That's the backs, has a top and 2 bottom sides and 4 windows at the front, the front is a bit roof aswell though so I'm only up the ladder twice for 4 windows. And 3 bottom windows.

Unfortunately after that street I did run into one of the pita customers, (one where they ask for it to be wiped). You trad guys down there could be doubling your income if you done it my way with the time you'd save. I bet the birds are well impressed when your trying to get your end away at the weekend when you tell them you just don't clean the glass. The frames get done too lol

The clue is in the name you are correct
“Window pane”
“Window frame”
“Window sill”
The whole unit creates a window
?

I wouldn’t have a business if I let that standard of work slide

You wouldn’t get any customers down here doing it like that people just wouldn’t accept that standard

I'm quite good looking tbh so il probably get let off because I'm easy on the eye. Found a picture of iron grant getting a star for wiping a frame though. Suppose you'd have to go above and beyond for ppl to justify the wains getting nightmares on a monthly basis. There was no diet coke break needed here . He told the reporter he's had the same applicator for 25 years. It's had 50 new sleeves and 40 t bars though. Look after your tools

I think that's the crux of the debate.

Years ago we had a number of window cleaners over the years who just did the glass - trad. Then they switched to wfp and continued to just do the glass. For one reason or another they disappeared so we found a different window cleaner (wfp) and again he just did the glass. We didn't know any better - I never even thought to ask him to quote for cleaning the whole window!

So it's what people are used to and what they are willing to accept. I guess it varies by area to an extent and sometimes just what people are used to receiving in return for their ££.

The clues in the name, window cleaner. Not windows and frames cleaner.
A window is an opening in the wall or roof of a building or vehicle, fitted with glass in a frame to admit light or air and allow people to see out.
You also clean wooden frames with wfp which isn't providing the best service. If you Google using wfp on wooden windows the first thing that comes up is a specialist company who make wooden windows. I don't know where you got that I clean wooden windows I haven't cleaned any in years.

As for GC you don't half go on about it, I am not being dishonest at all you don't know me or about the information on my website and the relevant links that informs people.

Maybe instead of overdoing it on the full sugar Irn Bru and continually spouting :poop: you should have a lay down in a dark room and put cucumbers on your eyes and maybe book a busman's holiday to watch some proper window cleaners in action
