Unfortunately mate

Nice mate i'm in Dublin, massive beast the Discovery. Great set up for the poles through the tank. The only place I can see in our neck of the woods that do wfp van systems is SureClean up the north. Crazy considering how many places there are in the UK. Did you do the frame and racks yourself?

Sureclean is where I bought my system and get my stuff from and yes I agree with you they are only option for water fed equipment, yeah I made the sub frame in wood and protector coated to protect Jeep floor I’m only in Naas if you need any advice or want to see my set up I also have a tank set up in a Vivaro van too

I have ordered a few things from Sureclean alright, madness that there is no place down south that does it. Fair play man very impressive diy skills. Appreciate that mate, I'm sure I will be annoying everyone for advice when I eventually buy the bloody thing lol

Would have to buy newish van as mileage on most is insane
Always makes me laugh the worries about mileage.

My wife is from the Philippines and we have a Ford Ranger we keep down there and it has done over 250k and runs like the day it came out the showroom.

My brother inlaw is a big time construction contractor and has all types of vehicles that have done between 500k and round the clock and then some.

Here in the UK vehicles are almost a disposable item...... we drive them till the wheels fall off and scrap them. If we were more like the African and asian countries and took maintenance as seriously as we should you wouldnt think twice about buying a ford or toyota diesel with 500k on the clock.

That’s the western world for you (especially with constant advertising everywhere, everything is BIGGER BETTER FASTER now) it’s too easy to just buy another whatever and throw the old one out sadly even when there’s nothing wrong with them. E.g cars, phones, tele’s etc etc

p.s

Window cleaning poles, wives lol

but going back to mileage, there’s nothing wrong with mileage overall. Service history is most important. I wouldn’t even touch a car/van over 100,000 if it had no service history. But different with my Ex British Gas van I suppose, that was all done ‘in house’ I hope lol

It's more not knowing the history of the van, lot of vans are ran into the ground. For me, I would be trading my car and only having a van so I want to make the right decision. It's not about vanity or getting the best of the best for me, it's about what suits my needs and what it the best value for me price wise, running costs etc. I would like a low mileage van as my work is local, so I won't put much on the clock. If I do not take to the van or if I decide to trade if off in the future then I go to trade it off with low mileage which is a massive draw over here. Less risky for me buying a van with low mileage.

There is a massive difference between buying a van/car here as oppose to the UK. We get absolutely ripped off over here price wise & with spec, it's an absolute joke. It costs the garages more to order in higher spec vehicles so you see very few high spec vehicles on the forecourts. My missus is Welsh and her family and friends are shocked by the price of vehicles over here. You guys are very lucky in the fact you more than likely will get a much better price and spec on most vehicles you buy in UK as oppose to here, so I have to try be a bit more savvy when buying. I could try sell mine privately and then use money up north or in UK but that can be dodgy/tedious & sure I will get hit with VRT when bringing the van back into Ireland.

I was shocked how expensive vehicles are over here as opposed to uk, my primastar is a uk van. Well worth the €200 vrt but as Cormie says you gotta be so careful some  sharks out there alright.

I have a littleVauxhall Combo van with a 350l tank. I can fit a gutter vac, backpack, 3 poles, stepladders and some traditional kit. It's a squeeze but this has grown with me as a sole trader. Happy enough though and these vans sign write well.
