Has anyone had this trouble of having ya van pinched ???

Stopped and spoke to a fellow windy today and he started saying that he knows to a fair few people who have had the vans pinched when cleaning !!! He himself had one stolen not long back .

He was working away and his water stopped so went to look and someone had cut his hose and drove off in his van !!!

Had a good chat with him and seems a nice enough bloke like and he said if he picks any more work up he will pass it on to me as he has started to slow down a bit now as he's getting on and is taking his time .

i lockl my van in areas that i dont trust.. but in some areas i know that are good i leave it open

Makes me think about changing my design on the my van (when I get it) to have a little flap the hose can come out of instead of having to leave the door open.

You can't trust anyone these days

When I was out cleaning, well driving to a job I saw a wfp window cleaner with a hoslelock to plug in the water pipes leaving van locked and secure

If you a stupid enough to leave your key's in the ignition insurance companies will not pay out if your car/van gets nicked. /emoticons/biggrin.png

I always lock my van when working no matter what sort of area I think it is. /emoticons/wink.png

you dont even need to leave the keys in it, just leaving it unlocked will stop them paying out too!

Yup, your also not covered if Someone known to you, a family member, work colleague or someone you subcontract, steals it, as they all have access to keys in some way or another. So if any of them are convicted of it, your screwed if they crashed it

it can get a joke at times with it all really,

like if someone breaks into you house, gets the keys and then steals the car/van!

If some breaks into your house and the house is locked and secured, keys not on view and the said their does not have a set of house keys, the. It's covered.

This is the most common type of theft claim at the moment

what happens if the house is locked, the keys are on the side or in cupboard, not visible from any window, then they take keys and take car/van?

Ive got inlet and outlet ports mounted under the rear bumper so I can fill and plug my hoses in with the doors locked, dont want anybody pinching my van; heared about others feeling a tug on the hose while working and some scumbag drivin off in there van.

thats the best thing about having a static system, pull up at home, get 30mm hose and 15 minutes and my van is full,
