Last month I started using my pole in this area.. The old fella came out when I'd nearly finished and said, what's the idea of this? I'm not happy, you have soaked me house ( I never got out that day til after 11 as it was raining all morning ) he said sure I can go buy one of them poles and do it myself, I said but you couldn't it's not as easy as that, he said I'm a lot older than you ( 80s) ! I said this is the new way I'm doing tops. He went and got money and paid for him and his neighbour...

On Tuesday I was round again, I done the side of his house, went round the back, seen him jumping off the sofa shaking his head and waving his arms.. I just shook my head and walks off..

I was going to knock and ask what his problem was but I didn't have time so eff him...

But while I was cleaning next door a guy stopped me and said can you do mine with your pole? He has roofing all above the bottom windows.. So he is now monthly too..

Then a few doors up a fella said are you goig to continue the pole for the tops now? I said yes, I feel it's safer and more efficient to clean them this way. He said but the glass is wet. I said yes that's how it works. But I'm worried about that brush? I said this brush is the best on the market ( tecbuk ) I scrub all frames and glass then rinse with filtered pure water. He said I'm not complaining about quality it's just the glass is wet? But said he will see how it goes? So I told him to be honest with you I'm not climbing ladders the rest of my life. This way I'm safer, your house is safer, quality is the same. If anyone dosent like it they can get someone else.. He said I understand that's fair enough..

Just stick to your guns dude. If they don't like, there are 10 others who will! People just don't like change, it's like better the devil you know, even if it means a better service. Let them have they say, and you stick up for what you believe in /emoticons/biggrin.png

You will always come across some old folk like that but just have to re-educate them that's all.

If you do not take the time to explain properly most just assume you are just using tap water so think they are being taking for a ride.

Tip: I've found best not say "Pure water" to old folk as they think it's just tap water with no detergent added.

Instead say something like " we use expensive purified water that has had all the minerals removed which is a very good eco cleaning agent in itself so cleans your windows and dries out spot & streak free.

Bla bla bla bla

I just away from a house I started wfp'n he said whatever your putting in your water works!! My windows are that clean it looks like there's no glass!

It's hard to explain to an 80 year old.. You say something, then they go whaaa? Then you think to yourself fer flip sake, say it again and they look at you like your speaking a different language..

Your not leaving those windows wet are you. I bet he never been on plane, car or used a telephone either and dont get him started on internet

The only thing i find depressing doing regular work for old folk is when they pass away. I've met some great ppl over the years and still miss talking to them. /emoticons/sad.png I'm no spring chicken myself so does make you think....
