A Comprehensive List of Prices

WCF

Help Support WCF:

Knowingly undercutting is a waste of time, what happens when someone else eventually comes along at a quid cheaper than you.

Yup those kind of customers have proved they'll jump ship for price alone, not worth having on the round in my opinion.

/emoticons/biggrin.pngHe went to the same school as Tenchy lol
Tency has a medically qualifed reason for his illegible quips. Pete's just plain lazy!

As for the North PH rates VS South PH rates that is just the limitations of your own mind.

I want the same regardless of which town I work in.

If I lived in Scunthorpe and was on £4 per house and looked on here and saw Berkshire boys on £15+ per house well sod it. I'd simply move.

'Oh no not me, born here raised here this sh**e hole town was great once I used to support local footy team with my dad'

Well aint that quaint? But if it dont give your family the best possible chance then you you're morrally irresponsible by not moving!

Just my opinion.

Yeah so we all put our average prices per area so the competition know's what to charge
People have to do some of the thinking themselves not be spoonfed everything

We all have different expectations and hourly rates

What you need to do if not sure on price is divide your hourly rate by 60 to get you rate per minute

Then multiply the amount of time you think the job will take by that figure and you have your answer
Mate there's always going to be competition regardless of there being a thread showing average prices or not. I think it's a good thing that the competition should know what to charge, in theory shouldn't it bring the prices up in your area if everyone charged the average?

You talk about figuring hourly rate out, what about window cleaners starting out? They won't know how long a house will take as that comes with lots of experience, so the point of this thread is to give people a rough idea. It's not set in stone prices of what people should charge!

I always overcut most windys round here lol
Try undercutting my work, its that spread out you would find it difficult.

With regards the prices, i dont think this thread is needed as all the info is on here if you search, thought id contribute for the sake of it mind.
That's exactly the point of this thread! It's to save masses of time trawling through the forum trying to find a rough idea on price for a small block paved driveway in the midlands.....it's all on here.

Like I said in theory your idea is good if there was an average price it would create a level playing field but the world don't work like that "I've had people blatantly go in to a job and say "tell me what your paying and I'll beat it by a least 10%"

And as much as most off us like to help people them new starters soon become competion.

You can't spoon feed or hold the hands of the new ones they have to find out for them selfs.what with the Internet ,wfp and today technology they have never had it so good.

Most of us that have been at this for some time had to learn the hard way I don't think any of us haven't underpriced a job.I know when I was new I did,

We have all been there at some point you price your first couple of jobs it maybe commercial or domestic but you get there and start it only to realise you mucked up and you priced it wrong and your be working longer that day for less.

But that's the learning experience which sets you and your business out you don't make them mistakes again.

eat anglia trad per hour £125 per window 50p per house £13

this should muddy the waters somewhat -but,,

,when you got it,flaunt it

I charge £10 per hour or per job all over the uk.

So all you lot stop knocking doors and dropping leaflets you won't get any work.

Is giraffe a national company as the is one near me also.
I don't know mate but it's a bit odd to have 2 with that strange name for a window cleaning company

I think everyone talking about prices charges but I say it about who does the better job . would you pay a newbie who has no experience and who can't do windows right leaves them worse then before and charges the same as A windy who is regular reliable professional window cleaner who you know is going to do a good job and not mess you about. If your a good windy charge what your worth the customers will decide if you are worth that price that your asking.

Don't really agree with this.

Every window cleaners who do this for a living either wfp or trad should be doing a great job. There's no excuse for half arsed job it's not hard to clean windows. It's not about charging more because you do a better job because there's a limit to how good a job can be. It's more to do with self confidence and projecting that to your customers. If you believe you are worth what you are charging then so will they. Looking smart and being as professional as you can will go a long way to set you apart from the average Joe who is cheap working out of the back of his old Fiesta. It's not about the quality of the work its about perception.

Everyone has start somewhere mate .. U were once a newbie as I was once myself

I first started 20 years ago working for a window cleaning firm as a trad in London static at a hotel that's where I learnt to clean windows working and learning from others I always wanted to be self employed but wasn't ready didn't have experience so I learnt and done trad wfp working on cradles working with rope access meeting and working with other windy it's not till 3 years ish ago I went self employed ive get new jobs and thankful to them where previous windy didn't wipe sills or frames left drips who wasn't very good just a quick wipe down Iam talking about them

If you do good work then Iam not talking about you charge what you want you deserve it working hard. Iam on about the bad ones who want high money for a s@it job who thinks yeah window cleaneing easy who just jumps in there you can always tell a windy who has experience sorry but I know jobs where wfp and trad not done properly
