A few on here will know what a wall slide fells like and indeed they are no fun at all especial the sudden stop at the end that can hurt like hell.

I have had spikes on my ladder for years. All windys round my way use them. I can't fault them. They snag into any crevice and I could even work through winter with snow and ice on the ground. Which is more than I can say for me pole
