Not been on for a while but obviously looking to see how everyone is managing.  Decided opinion as I expected.  Personally I sent out some text to customers on Monday. Not all actually due for cleaning. The ones I actually speak a little, asking their honest opinion on me continuing to work. Mostly nice but saying no not a good idea. Then looked at FB groups for the villages. Found far to many Muppets moaning about people out and about.  Had a chat with the family. Decided it's not worth it.  Will struggle after next month but nothing I can do about it.  I do at least sell stuff on eBay so have some £ coming in.  Thoughts go out to you all

I will make one point on here that everyone should consider, this is not going to end anytime soon. We will soon be in total lockdown and nobody can work, this will be lifted when numbers of dead fall to allow reinfection of public till numbers of dead rise again then another full lockdown. Eventually after several cycles life may begin to start to get back to normal with a dead economy, and massive unemployment. Anyone who refuses to work while people are dying may as well accept they will not work for the rest of 2020, a vaccine cannot pass all the regulations before 2021. If you are going to work anytime in 2020 you may as well go to work on Monday morning, in fact deaths in the region of 200 may be the lowest we will see for along time to come which would make Monday morning a lot more appealing to work than say September.

To be honest I think Gav hit the nail on the head with his post. People are entitled to their own opinions on this subject be it right or wrong. I went out today but took the necessary precautions . For example wearing gloves and facemasks which my Dad gave me as he used to work in the NHS. I also stuck to the 2 metre distancing rule and only took bank transfer payments. I also took the liberty to print out some notes to stick in my windows stating I have decided to work but am being as careful as possible and bullit pointing my safety measures. Also saying I have not taken this decision to work lightly but I equally respect people choosing to stay at home.

Have never done facebook in my life pal, just able to deduce and think for myself. You think you are smart, trust me you have a humbling coming to you.,goodbye
Well if you can think for yourself then you should know that the vast majority of people will survive this. Tragically some will die, including some that don't appear to have any other ailments. I am humble as unlike you I don't believe I am better than anyone else and I also don't believe it is my place to lecture others.

Hello all,

I have been issued a warning about my abusive behaviour, presumably because I am passionate about the main topic of conversation of this thread. I did not mean to offend anyone but I will not be suppressed into silence because some people can't handle the truth. This virus, Covid 19 is deadly and to try and obfuscate this issue is tantamount to obduracy and will only lead eventually to a complete lock down and even more hardship. I will watch this topic now from a distance and only comment if I can have a real positive effect. This is hard for us all, myself included, I wish you all the best and whatever you decide to do, most of all, please stay safe.

Our job is hard enough without outside factors making it even harder......thank you for putting up with me......Andy......35 years in  the job.
