I dont do facebook but sounds bad. i know from when I was on it years ago it was terrible. Dont miss it a bit.

That time is the wrong time to go , it's for NHS & OAP isn't it
I havent been yet, been eating my reserves

What will you do when we go to total lock down because of people like you swanning around crying poverty....trust me, it will happen.
The key word there is WHEN . It hasn’t happened yet so I’m still legally allowed to work so can’t really comment on something that hasn’t happened yet can I ? All I know is I can’t get by on £94 a week ( if I ever get through to them) . So while I still can i simply must . I’m crying poverty because that’s exactly what it is . I’ve went from making £600+ a week to asking the government for a hand out that’s not even a days wage !

You do the uc on the internet you don't need to phone. They phone you at arranged time.
After you do the online you need to call to book a telephone interview .

Just been speaking to my next door neighbour. He tells me his brother in law (floor fitter), was pulled over by the rozzers this morning and told to go home.

Apparantly he had screenshots on his phone of the government website etc about continuing working  but the police did not want to know.

Have a great weekend fellow windies, pub time.......??

I to am gutted the season finished. Really wanted to watch West Ham get relegated ??

I do miss the pub. I wonder when we will next be able to go in one?

Be honest with me, have you read the whole article that I left a link to? If you missed it, I post it again here for your convenience. I am not inciting bitchiness or anything else that would be upsetting to anyone personally, I like to think the facts speak for themselves, as much as I would like to think people can think for themselves also......I am trying to help...

When we go into lock down (and we will) it will happen as part of a greater plan. These lockdowns aren't designed to stop the disease dead, they are there to spread it out so the NHS does not become overwhelmed. When we go into full lockdown it will be to slow the spread for a while before going back to semi lockdown in order that more people catch it. Then lockdown again and so on. Herd Immunity.

I am sure you are but when you say what you said below it isn't helping

We will go on lockdown because London was allowed to continue to party and travel on packed trains for too long, not because someone is working within Government guidelines. You and others on here that are preaching to people that are in fairly dire financial situations doesn't help. Instead of posting nasty comments you would be better off writing to your MP or volunteering to help

Why don't you stop repeating yourself.

We know your opinion by now but everyone has their opinion.

It's not a moral crusade it's a window cleaning forum.

He may have no choice in the matter.

Just because you can get by doesn't make it possible for everyone no matter how much you say it's wrong.

I personally can afford to be off but I understand anyone in any self employed job going into work if their is no choice.

As I said before yes we need to look after others but my family will always come first whatever happens.

That is the way of life.. like it or not.

That's why the PM and Health Minister has caught it. Heaven knows, I reckon the whole of Westminster has the virus and now they have been sent home to contaminate their constituencies.

I sent out my first batch of texts today, informing customers that I wouldnt be working until things have settled down. Nearly everyone replied and not just one line replies. Everybody was very supportive. One couple offered to go out so that I could clean their windows and one lady kindly offered to pay me half of the window money each month until I started back....that really touched me as I know she doesnt have a lot of cash. I will send out the rest of the texts tomorrow.

Must admit, I have found this whole situation very strange and disconcerting. I went to bed last night wondering how this year would pan out with lockdowns, extensions to lockdowns and the economy going tits up. Its not a very enouraging picture, I feel.

Anyway, enough of that.....I ve got a pint of Tim Taylors in my hand, so cheers everyone.
