Are window cleaners still allowed to work during Coronavirus (Covid-19)?

Tesco have to send vans out with a driver and a trainee. If there is no other choice there is no other choice... From a safety point of view we really shouldn't.

Imagine going back to December and seeing this conversation. If I told you this would happen you would think I'd taken something haha.
BUT..... from a safety point of view we sometimes use ladders so need a 2nd person too foot the ladders etc.

My missus reckons we had it mid Feb after a weekend gigging in Glasgow where at all three gigs the same party of Germans were also at ... The following week we were gubbed
Got a mate who's a paramedic who said that since Xmas time loads of have had coronavirus symptoms etc, they had numerous call outs, with most being declared as a bad flu. Good chance its been around longer than declared by the govt. Hopefully see the end of it soon so we can all go to the pub and not talk about it again

Think you will find there are  18/strains  of it before this one that’s why it’s called covid 19 as there are already 18 known ones from years before , I me guessing that there will be several strains of covid  19 some worse than others just like the flu or common cold has many variables , not everyone has the same symptoms , but guessing all this will become more apparent as more knowledge is gained about this virus .
I listened to the experts on 5 live the other day (well all the time in my van for a fortnight)

Covid19 stands for corona virus designation 2019 which is when it was first discovered.

There are supposedly 2 strains of covid19 not the corona virus of which there are 7 which include h1n1 and sars among others but they are not what we are dealing with now.

This is the thing when not many sources of 100% accurate information are available.. everyone gets mixed messages .

That is why I only use 5 live for my info as they debate it all day and use proper experts to answer everyones questions all day long.

I thought it was Covid 19 cause it started in 2019?

On the point of multiple strains, I found this on New Scientist;

"The differences between the two identified strains are tiny. In fact, they can’t really be considered to be separate “strains”, says Jones. And many of the genetic differences won’t affect the production of proteins, and so won’t change the way the virus works, or the symptoms it causes, he says. One is not more deadly than the other."

They aren't 100% on this but they are pretty sure one strain isn't worse than the other.

I like to know what I'm talking about and am into geeky science stuff anyway so always research stuff.

I hate when people spout half truths or wrong info as fact as any info you want can be found if you look as long as it has already been discovered.

Been told to carry on in a safe manner up here in Scotland. But as far as I'm concerned it's not worth the risk majority of customers are the older ones at risk yes it's ok to continue on. But its morally wrong and your basically adding to the problem right now everyone should be locked down

Covid 19 is  named after 2019 as it started in China 2019. .

Brilliant. It's a similar psychology to those who believe conspiracy theories, that they and only a few others have this information. They will hold court and tell you their theories as they know someone who knows someone who works for a government agency blah blah. It's the same now with covid19. This has got the epidemiologist, virologists and governments scrambling for answers as they have limited knowledge of this virus.

They say a little knowledge is dangerous, well it's certainly true this time.

I agree with your methodology when it comes to fact finding, I use LBC all day for the same reason. The experts can't all agree though. They're learning so fast they will, and do, tell you something different every few days. There is a segment at 4 every day with a different expert on. A few have asked about the multi strain theory and the different experts won't directly confirm it but they seem confident that its genetic make up is such that if you catch one strain you will have antibodies for the other.
