On a side note I did think about getting audiable (I believe it's called that).

But I have no idea what to listen to. Only ever read Jurassic Park haha apart from Mr.Men books lol

The NWT is my favourite, and it's free to download.☺
Yeah, the new revision is even clearer to understand. Paul's letters are easy to listen to also, they were written to be read aloud so the thoughts are all presented very logically. Hebrews gives a complete explanation of Christianity.

Might not be for everyone but I just listened to an episode and it was right up my street worth a look as it free!

138 free episodes of Sherlock Holmes from the American archives that were aired on radio can be streamed or downloaded in mp3

1.17 GB in total.

The New Adventures of Sherlock Holmes was an old-time radio show which aired in the USA from October 2, 1939 to July 7, 1947. The show first aired on the Blue Network but later moved to the Mutual Broadcasting System. The radio stories were action packed, filled with atmosphere, and featured great music by Lou Kosloff, as well as excellent sound effects.

Only listened to the first short story and enjoyed it don't know how true they are to the originals but this is more of a dramatisation. They have some old style advertising that sponsor the show, it's like a time machine to pre war advertising in America for two mins before the episode starts. TBH you'll have to give it a try I find the older radio stuff well produced, after all it was the main for of entertainment of the day but others may prefer more modern productions.

This is a great radio/ podcast mini series I was hooked. Limetown, the photo has some episode blurb. You'll find it on podcasts.

Lots of different sites but the main ones are https://librivox.org/search?primary_key=1&search_category=language&search_page=1&search_form=get_results

youtube ( I download the audio files) just type in audiobooks and loads come up

Itunes podcasts ( all free but will need to download on computer, works on mac and PC) millions and millions but I tend to look for the dramatised ones like limetown

bbc radio player has a massive catalogue of content too but you have to rummage for it

I see that video d/l has been mentioned earlier in thread to be able to download YouTube videos

I can't find video d/l on the App Store

Can anyone recommend an app to download YouTube audio ?

Thanks

Attached are a load of dramatised audio books from the BBC, you'll need to tap on the three lines in the left hand corner to see the rest of the stories or cut and paste into your search bar as when I post it here it displayed as the first audio book.

Hi @Leicester24, just looked on the App Store and it seams that it's no longer available to download.

I assume you want it to rip audio files like music and audiobooks off YouTube? If so there are other methods for creating sound files from YouTube, this is a very easy one, you just copy the video URL and past it onto this website http://www.listentoyoutube.com/ and it will convert it into an MP3 file for you to download for free. There seam to be loads of apps both on apple and android app stores that do similar and keep them stored in a filing system on your device but have not uesed them so can't comment on how useful they are. Hope this helps anyway.
