Thats the kind of work I want, im hoping if people see or know I have this then I may get more work out of it.

Do you have any certificates to show you can carry out the assesment?

Mk pm me the number. I will try and salvage it, dont worry I will make up some guff about changes in paperwork - and well get you down there to quote - its not gone. I do this for a living 21 years in - RC said he will provide the paper work, not gone yet...........

you wouldnt of had the paper work for a risk assessment unless you had been there already and gone through looking at all the risks, every building is different and needs a separete risk assessment so can be easily salvaged. nothing ever lost just say you misuderstood the question as there was something going on near you when you took the call. better still if catherine can swing that she phoning from your office make an appointment for you youre be laughing. you just need to at all the possibities of an accident occuring and either they have to provide a solution or you do. if you use wfp having a watchman to stop people tripping on the hose and warning cones hi-vest if working near a road with traffic stuff like that

Ill just say something along the lines of "hello, I understand you made an enquiry for a quote", I think we had some issues with paperwork and risk assessments, were undergoing some changes in that direction and our wires may have been crossed, MK you can wing it. Not too late to salvage it, the offer is there, not saying I can guarantee to get you in, but I can make up some waffle - to try and salvage it. Needs must.

a quote for commercial work comes with a safety policy, insurance details, risk assement, work propasal and a quote. what you need to provide for the risk assement is info on equipment used, showing its bsi accreditation and notify your insurers of each piece of equipment therefore your covered. if your using ladders then maybe use a ladderstop or man footing, safety signs etc so you got to use a ladder and how your willing to make it safe. i also include a COSCH report on any chemicals. its not hard to do it just takes a bit of time and easy if you compare other companies paperwork like i did.

i have a 55 page commercial contract for every commercial contract and all i have to do is tick the box on equipment used, it took me ages to make but now i can fill out a quote for any company now instantly.

please note, your not a proper contractor and not insured if you do not have a written purchase order for the job
