we don’t generaly do builders cleans but one of our existing customers wants us to do a builders clean on two large detached dorma bungalows , the plastic film on the window frames has been on there for about a year it does peel off but was wondering if anyone has any tips for removing it ? Is it just a case of slow progress or is there anything that can be put on it to aid removal ? Thanks in advance for any advice

I use a thing called “goo gone”. Yellow liquid. its about 6 quid a bottle on amazon, good for small isolated areas e.g. stickers,
Window cleaning warehouse do an adhesive remover that is outstanding also, its a clear liquid sold in 500ml bottle somewhere between £10-£20 from what i can remember. Both of these wont go far though so you really need to factor in the cost of whatever you’re going to use, as if you should need say 10-20 bottles you could be looking at up to 200 quid or whatever. And of course. There’s always that one job to land yourself with where even the good stuff dont do the trick. Look what happened to poor old part timer at the seaside the other day. It got very salty [emoji51]

Less the poor, don't mind the old ? Tar and Glue remover shifts all of that.

WD40 dissolves glue, but then the frames will be greasy as above a strong citrus based cleaner like Valet Pro Citrus  it's strong smelling as well, you won't really know until you start for example I when I need to remove some clear protective film from the tailgate of my pickup after it been on for over a year I did struggle a bit with the Valet Pro to remove some glue residue left behind after removal so had to resort to using wd40 which shifted it in seconds.
