What do I need to convert my soft water system to a RO system AS THE WATER IN BANGOR area has gone from  38to 170, the water board reckons it will be like this TIL end of September, only want a cheap convertible system thanks Nicky

How much water do you use?

A proper 4040 setup is costly, but produces more water than a single operator can use.

A small drinking water system is cheap but is very slow. (200l a day, depending on type).

Another probably cheaper option is just cash out for resin these months, but then again you have no guarantee the tds will drop.

I'd go for RO any day of the week, no matter the tds, but I despise changing resin.

South Wales suffering as well, killed my TDs meter so not sure how high it gone, borrowing mates Thursday, gone back to trad for a few days just in case. Usually 60-70 here so once I can find an IBC container cheap round here might just go ro anyway.

Tell me about it. I'm in the North East, mine was 80..shot up to 400-450!! LUCKILY I got an RO van system straight off the bat but I've just bought another DI so now i'm RO, with double DI setup to help save resin.
