Thats exactly what I was thinking. There was a programme on once saying how many bullets were fired vs kills, and said that many people 'aimed' to miss. Killing just isnt very natural even for soldiers, especially when you are sent to fight, as opposed to defending a loved one from an attack.Always wondered how they managed to go back to fighting after that.
Suppose it was kill or be killed. I meant to stop working at 11am yesterday for a 2 minutes silence. I saw a bloke parked up at the side of the road and then he started the engine and drove off. I looked at the time and it was 4 minutes past 11. I forgot /emoticons/sad.png, I could have slapped myself for that.Always wondered how they managed to go back to fighting after that.
Germans and brits playing football in no mans land I can believe, windys together down the park, pure fantasy!Great advert, tears! Had trouble convincing my children it actually happened. I did stop for 2 minutes on the 11th, but could easily have missed the time. The Poppy's at The Tower of London are out of this world. We are kicking ourselves for not going to see them as I believe that it was a huge bit of history that will not be repeated on such a scale! Maybe window cleaners should venture onto other turfs and start a football match, swap a bit of chocolate?!!! Too far?
That's the way of the world now bud ... No respect for anything / anyone ..if it's makes money for the British legion .. Brilliant ... I'll buy that chocolate bar for presents this yearand just cant believe some people have complained about it ....how sad....we should always remember what they did.....
