Ecosure tank lid

Guys, I’ve brought a second hand 400L ecosure tank , when full , and I mean not full to the brim , it’s leaking out the air vent on the lid... surely this isn’t right , can’t seem to adjust anything , am I missing something ??

Is there a piece missing as it’s second hand ??

They all leak otherwise when you are using the water you will create a vacuum. Some on here cover it with plastic until they've used enough for it not to leak or some have sealed it and drilled a hole in and glued a 6" pipe in to allow air in.

I just wrap a cloth around the outer edge of the lid to avoid any water spillage into the rear of the van.

Put a plastic bag over the vent (second pic) and secure with tape/whatever then drill a hole in the lid and insert 6” of hose pipe then bung up the hose with summat, I put a rubber glove Over End of hose... remember to take of the glove when in use.. a lot of faffing about but a dry van results ??.
