Hi all, I have been doing WFP on my own now since the start of Jan and its going really well I think, ive gained just over sixty customer in around six weeks and I've received nothing but good feedback /emoticons/smile.png however I recently joined a local group website and to be honest its been great as ive gained a few customers from it and have received lots of enquiries  however this morning I received my first negative comment:

"Yes it's you I have seen in action opposite my house with your van up on the pavement , but still in the way of mine when I want to get out of my DRIVE !! Hose pipes draped up out all over the road too. Try using the traditional method you can still do a good job. Or are you just afraid of heights !!"

I actually believe this person may either be mistaken and confusing me with another cleaner or just trying to make me look bad possibility another cleaner? I always park my van in a safe and responsible position with my surroundings in mind, also I only use one hose and this is never "draped up all over the road". Now I'm given the choice to make this comment public on the site and reply or reply privately. People can make mistakes and ive already had a comment on the site recommending my and I don't even clean this persons house lol  what would you do?

If was it me i wouldnt reply.

If you put yourself out there on local website there always sombody out there that love to moan and giving out negative feedbacks.

Thanks davewindowcleaner, that's what the wife is also saying /emoticons/smile.png although its hard because I think she's either mistaken or its a stich up? :swear:

JUST CARRY ON REGARDLESS. dont even speak to them, as if they are not there, just concentrate on keeping your customers happy.
Thanks johnny bravo, I think that's just what I'm going to do.

I remember years ago one summer a new customer start moaning I was making the patio wet cleaning the windows with wfp.

Never went back again, i didn't ask what different did it make if it was raining. You just can't reason with some people.

I would have to reply once and stating it would be only once. Say what you said hear and tell them your not scared of hights but scared of falling off and killing your self and this is why traditional will eventually be banned along with all ladder use etc etc

Hi dredge3, bit harsh? But yes I'm not afraid of heights however I do choose not to use ladders for many reasons one of them i feel is saftey.

How did you get 60 custys in 5 weeks? canvasing?
A bit of a mix really, facebook business page, website, google+ business page, flyer drops, canvassing and word of mouth.

As mentioned above,it is just basic trolling. I can almost guarentee that its another windy too. No one would take the time to tell you to go 'traditional' thats not in the industry. Don't bother replying, once they get a bite they'll just carry on and even other trolls that arent involved will want a piece of the action.

I would just ignore it. Arguing on the Internet is never a good idea and from a business point of view it looks unprofessional. If someone feels you are blocking their drive they will approach you sooner or later and then you can set them straight but I do suspect it's another windy.

It's a trad cleaner having a pop at you. Probably a bit pi55ed that you're a new face and getting loads of work.

Ignore him.

Responding just adds fuel to their fire.
This is quite likely someone who did a bit of window cleaning at some stage and they see you at wonder what could of been ,,,you can't allow idiots to bother you on open web sites m8,your obviously a nice guy who is good at what he does and you should remember that and forget them

Don't reply at all

If it's just a private comment and not made public then that's good so just ignore it as whoever sent it is trying to wind you up.

The only thing you need to pay attention to is any complaint about the quality of your work.

From a recent photo you put up you have quality job acumen so just smile and keep doing what you are doing.

That poster could even be from another part of the world.

Well here's an update! this person has also posted a damaging message on one of my Fbook posts on my business page  I have done a bit of digging on the other website I referred to at the start of the post and this person has left a post previously giving details as to what road they live in. And yes im sure you've all guessed it............................................................. I DON'T EVEN CLEAN IN THAT STREET. I've now contacted the site explaining the situation and will wait to see what they say? Ill keep you posted. :bangheadwall:

That one reason why I don't use facebook as there are plenty of tossers about that like to troll and try damage ppls good reputation for the crack.
