I've fallen out with those Sill brushes. I went back to a standard square brush and now I don't feel I'd get into the corners properly with a sill brush.Depends on what brush you're using. I use swivel with 45cm gardeners flocked but its not needed with gardeners 26cm sill brush.
It's interesting how cleaners see some items as a positive where others see the same item negatively.Agreed to all of the above (positive views that is lol) tried a swivel within 18 mintsbof starting and it lasted 1 job til I got fed up. Fast forward another 18 months and gave it another go with my increased pole control and loved it
5 years after that I agree swivels and univalve are best inventions for time saved and ease if cleaning. I use the quickloq adapter as I like to be able to swap brushes if needed but have the ones you've posted pics of just never used them so can't comment.
Fantastic down sides of Connys, doors above Connys all sorts it just helps the flow of cleaning. Agree with @ched999uk even on FSG they work, or can easily nip the screw for slightly stiffer operation.
When I drive past cleaners with fixed heads it just looks clumsy and awkward.
Thank you mate. I have a swivel gooseneck. Not too loose but great for weird angles etc. May try the swivel socket just to get that closer controlLove my swivel. 5 quid well spent. What a game changer.
I would say I found them difficult at the start, I found that having them tighter so they didn't flop about was the key for me. As I got used to them they wore slacker and I now love them.So after all this talk about the swivels I thought I would dig one out and give it a go again today , my conclusion is they are good at awkward angles over conservatories and in a few other situations but difficult to clean the edges on balustrade and brush cobwebs down the reveals by Windows ,I’ll keep it on the pole until we do a few plastic cleans later this week but think I will put it back on the shelf again after that .
Like most things they do have their place but I don’t think it’s something I would want to use all the time I did use one all the time years ago then did a plastic clean and didn’t put it back on and never really missed it , it was just the discussion on here that prompted me to put it on this morningI would say I found them difficult at the start, I found that having them tighter so they didn't flop about was the key for me. As I got used to them they wore slacker and I now love them.
I even use them on gsf but only with the 23cm supreme tapertec - I would say gsf are probably something best for fixed gooseneck.
