help with static ro system

WCF

Help Support WCF:

Ionics use a 30 inch membrane which they made unique to themselves in the UK. What you can do which is a cheaper option purchase 40” housing and membrane and plumb it into your system. Their filters I think are 30” now on the new systems and I have the empty inserts which can be filled. May be wrong though

Hi,

Thanks for that, can you tell me more about the ro, what's a 21/40, 40/40 ro? I thought they were measured in gpd's ?
A 4040 is a 40 inch membrane which will make about 300l per hour with a booster pump and a 2120 is a bit smaller

Only the small ro setups are in gpd

What my 450gpd makes in a night you could make in 2 hrs with a 4040 without a booster pump

Thanks guys, I've looked at collinswaterproducts 450gpd Andy and my tap water is300tds, so similar to yours.

How come your ratio is 50/50 when it's quoted as anything from 50/100 to 50/150 good/waste on various websites?

I'm leaning towards the same system as you Andy do you mind if i pick your brain?

Where did you get the rest of your gear from? booster pump, submersible pump for example.
Mine is 50/50 on my 450gpd

I took out the 3/1 restrictor and added a tap instead to set it where I want it

I use my membranes a but quicker bit my water production is quicker

3 membranes at around 20 quid each every 2 years is fine and i flush my ro with pure every couplenof months which makes it last longer

Just means having it on all day while at work to keep ibc full

A lot cheaper to set up though
