grippatank webasto water heaters are plumbed into your vans diesel tank so this is not an option..i only put £120-£140 a month into my van for everything anyway(hot water every day and driving to and from jobs).......

Always wondered how much diesel I go through running hot water? I don't think it can be much, maybe a few pounds worth a day. I noticed today when hot water works a treat and saves plenty of time. Sea gull had marked about 6" of white pvc frame. Soaked it with hot water and did the rest of the windows and then went back to it. Took about 10 seconds to remove it and clean my brush on the side of the window ingle.

Yes this is an Intresting subject I have read his thread about his heater and it looks good. Let’s just hope one doesnt go bang and set fire to or injure someone though , as he will be in some serious trouble as it’s not approved or got any safety certification unlike other manufacturers systems have , I think it’s good but still needs more refining to now get it approved .  The Americans run there heaters on kerosene as it runs cleaner I think that’s a bit like AV cat or AV gas used in aircraft fuel ?.. not totally sure though as the yanks call things different to us ,  

AV Gas is the ‘petrol’ version - although you can’t run a petrol engine with it as the octane level is too high (from memory!!)

Jet A1 is the diesel version (kerosene) - I use this in my set up. Burns cleaner and hotter.

Where do you get aviation fuel from?

I have an airfield a few miles away - where I did my apprenticeship!! I assume they sell it to me as I worked there for 10 years and they know I’ll only use it for my heater. I would imagine it would be frowned upon if I filled my van tank with it!!!
