Hot water systems

WCF

The only way I've found to get rid of the beading is to rinse on with the bristles touching the glass to break the surface tension. Mostly this will allow localised sheeting which can be brought down quickly in the rinse before it closes back to beads again. It doesn't need any brush pressure, only a good flow and the bristles lightly tickling. I've found very few windows where this doesn't work because the phobic effect is is just too strong. The degree of hydrophobic property is not the same on all phobic glass.

I wasn't hearing any answers as to why it was better other than "it's better" or "it's comfortable" etc.  Those are not reasons to justify the expense for me.

I was simply asking politely if there were other benefits.  I understand from the more recent posts that the hot water rinses better and potentially saves water.

I understand now what the benefits are (thank you all).  I just need to decide for myself if the benefits will justify the expense.

Thank you everyone.
I have done numerous posts about the advantages of hot water over the years and explained why it’s better in my opinion

1. Takes salt off of windows in a fraction of the time that cold will hot resolves it cold just moves it round the window

2. First cleans , commercial building cladding , plastic cleans, cement board cladding, all take far less time using hot and you don’t akways have to use a chemical sometimes hot alone is fine something that cold never did  on our work .

3. In winter hoses are more supple making the working day much easier rather than wrestling trying to pull stiff cold hoses about and get them back on the reels again . Also keeps you warm whilst working it’s surprising what a difference this makes as you get older ???

4. The windows dry a lot quicker giving you the opportunity to see any problems before you have left the job , useful on houses .

5. Baked on seagull poo , bee pollen , snail trails , salt , sand , and seaweed all come of the glass far easier and much quicker using hot rather than cold .

I  will offer you the opportunity to come out with us for  a day or what ever you would like to do and try hot and cold on our work and then see which you would rather use  , which is quicker , easier and gives a better finish , i now have 3 vans all with hot water , I certainly wouldn’t have spent the best part of 15k if it was of no benefit ,in time saving or ease of work .

As I've said before I don't come across many windows with gravy or ketchup on. I have a 9kw 2 man Webasto heater, it gets turned on for big filthy first cleans and when it's literally freezing, 0 degrees or colder.

Apparently that means you and I don't run successful businesses though ?
Lol we come across a lot of windows with tomato ketchup , kebab and all manner of food on shop windows especially on a Monday morning after the weekend partiers   have been about , that’s one thing I haven’t missed over the last 8 months  ???

I don't think I have the space for a diesel so it would be an immersion heater from GrippaTank along with the anti frost unit and additional battery.  Thanks.
Diesel heaters I feel are the best option heating water as you go rather than heating a tank full that you might not use , but any heating of the water is better than using cold , and if on a budget or lack of space I think it’s a very good idear to go down the immersion route , but get it wired up by an electrician and be very careful about using a 3kw one as you are likely to melt the wiring and set fire to the house if it’s not done right .

Thank you - I will indeed do a little experiment as suggested.  I'll wait until after Christmas as I only cleaned them yesterday.

I'll be looking at an immersion system (prob the 5kw version) as I have no space for a diesel boiler.  I would have the additional battery that is supplied to connect to the existing smart battery I already have from GrippaTank.  So I don't think I would need a power supply on a regular basis, although I appreciate this will depends on whether I'm driving enough mileage to charge the battery up and that a charge would be required periodically.

I'm just waiting on Oliver to provide a quote ?
5 kw immersion NO WAY YOU WILL BURN THE HOUSE DOWN ,

That's my opinion on what I noticed were common factors. My father was a millionaire but mainly had all his eggs in one basket with his hotel. Lucky for him he sold at the right time or would probably be bankrupt. I have read that if you want to be rich, then "multi streams of income" is the answer. I have pension, solar tariff, windows and maintenance work each month. I spend my monthly earnings on equipment but I have nothing left to buy now. I still have a mortgage for 5 years. I can refuse work now and set a real price when quoting. First time in my life that I have ever been in a position when work comes to me now. All my life I have only tried to help people but now I have noticed jealousness and envy beginning to show its hand which comes from toxic people. I don't get involved with them now and all my work seems to work out well. I have a big pvc clean tomorrow which I'm looking forward to because its priced correct. No hard feelings but I must be doing something right or the work would not continue like it has. ?
Lol ??. Who the hell is jealous of you on here?

All your self indulgent post has made you as popular as a reggae band at a klu klux klan meeting

I have no idea what I'm talking about so excuse my rambling.  I am talking with Oliver at GrippaTank and am awaiting a quote on a system that he thinks is best given my limitation on space.  ?

Thank you for the kind offer - if you were closer to Kent I would take you up on your offer.

And thank you for clarifying the benefits, I appreciate it.  I have used the search engine but hundreds of posts appeared and I could not find the answers I was seeking.  I do appreciate how annoying it can be having to answer the same question repeatedly.

I do apologise though.

Don’t apologise. The ‘what’s best, SLX or Xtreme?’ is featured on here every week ?
