how to remove cement from windows

    Came a cross a few windows today with cement on it, i can't reach using ladder. Tried ubik on brush but it didn't work.

    Any suggestions thanks

    I give em a soak then Stanley blade or scraper and don't go mad at it.

    Iv got a old pole and a progutter adapter pole cone on the end then scraper for the high ones

    Try "cement off" it's quite expensive but does a great job. I put it on with a small sponge then leave it to soak for ten minutes or so. A quick rub with same sponge removes most of the cement any stubborn lumps can be taken off with a good sharp scr aper. Then wash as normal to remove any residue.
    Cheaper but not quite as good is WD40.
    Here's one I did earlier.

    Gonna tell the builders to do it themselves, too much hassle.

    Cement is a nasty bugger. I also use v soapy water & take my time with a scraper (always put a new blade in)

    It the 3rd floor windows, i can't reach it going up the ladder

    Always makes me laugh when this thread pops up .. Why do people spend thousands on Windows only for the slap dash builder to put cement onto them .. Horrible job Wouldn't use a blade you always scratch the glass
