Hypo on K render ?

Why is all this algae forming on render, I don't remember this ever being an issue in the past?

Is this going to be a big growth (sorry for pun) business as more houses had insulation then render applied to make warmer houses?

Climate change, we are getting much wetter weather than we ever did, we will get wetter and warmer winters and more and more algae issues on outdoor surfaces.

You can see it everyday on regular window jobs things have never been so green.

Good morning, im attempting my first k rend softwash in a couple of weeks. 
i recall reading that hypo even as low as 1-2% will cause discolouring of lead flashing?? Whats the best way to get around this??

Soak the lead then rinse the lead as soon as you can after applying hypo. Don't let hypo dwell on the lead.

I wasnt sure how quick it happens. Its the only thing thats stopped me taking on a few jobs to be honest. Paranoia setting in ?
