The local chemical company I had been using are no longer selling Hypo.
I know of Benz but I'm not going to use much LIGHTNING CLEANZE and the smallest quantity seems to be 20L that seems to be on it's last legs i.e. 'use ASAP'.
So anyone know any national retailer selling 14/15% hypo or someone who does mail order in small (20L) quantity without being sill on P&P?
Cheers

Do you have a local farm shop or swimming pool supply company? Most on line supplies will charge a heavy delivery charge for one or two drums . Bonnymans are good but its bulk buying usually 10 x25 ltr drums

Strangely I rang round a few hot tub companies today but none do it. Tried the old pool company near but they didn't answer. Farm shops are probably quite rare round here but I hadn't thought of that, thanks.
Bonnymans want £35 shipping, which more than doubles the cost of a barrel or 2!
Thanks

Yes the delivery charge is crazy I pay £24 for a 25 ltr drum of hypo obviously no delivery charge from a farm shop 300 yards up the road from my house 😂😂😂

This is nuts - trying to find a local company is proving difficult.
I have found Asda sell bleach (5% SH) at about £1.29 for 2 litres. Would there be a problem with mixing this down to 2 to 2.5% for render cleaning? Might need it to clean concrete slabs after PW as well.

Should be ok many supermarket bleaches contained sodium hydroxide as well which will help with the clean so I’ve been told , just need a lot of bottles of it , they will think you are trying to make a bomb 😂😂😂
Personally think 2:5% is to weak for render cleaning but give it a try you can always make it a bit stronger

It's 'white' render with mild mould on one elevation and mild green algae on the other. What % would you start with? No kids, adults or pets around, building just been renovated inside and needs outside sprucing up a bit.
Thanks

Green is easily killed a weak mix will do that , try the 2:5% , ime not to good with maths but we put 4 -5 ltr of 10% strength hypo in a 25 ltr drum and use that it will kill most algae , mould and lichen.

I think 5 litres of 10% hypo mixed with 20litres of water gives a 2% mix. i.e. 1 part hypo to 4 parts water = 5 parts total so 10/5 = 2% I think that's how it works?

Sureseal go for the recycled barrel option 3 x 25 litres about £120

My farm shop has had no hypo for over a year.... The supermarket bleach is very tame compared to hypo. Once March pressure washing season starts its going to be even harder to get hold off..
