I don't like wearing bucket on a belt

WCF

Help Support WCF:

I love the fact that you never run out of water on a fourteen inch as you can shake up a bit from the bottom....sadly doesnt work on my eighteen inch as it reaches the bottom and if it sits in water drips everywhere... any longer boabs out there.?

they came out pretty much the same time as I started to squeegee so never known life without one..

yep I REMEMBER a mop and scrim ..ahh the good ole days..boy them mops were big ..

boabs can be a pain when walking and can even bounce into my special place if I am not careful...

i want to try and strap it to my leg....:Dthats the boab norm honest...quick edit...

oh and hi and welcome to the forum Angela Dean we need more ladies on here....

and yep safety first at all times ....I find carrying a bucket up a ladder to clean the gutters out hard enough..me likes both hands on the ladder...

strap your special place to your leg

I know to wrong to carry a squeegee in one hand and a T bar in the other climbing up the ladder but I just don't like wearing the bucket all day carry my squeegees when I am working.
I thinking of getting something like this below http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00KS6RUX6/ref=redir_mdp_mobile/280-4765328-2463868

It maybe the worst idea ever but there is a hole on my squeegees handle and was thinking of getting those hook though the squeegge handle hole and clip it to my trouser.

What you reckon?
You probably don't have it set up right, you need a sturdy belt to keep it from moving about, and to cut and modify your BOAB like in these photos. This will raise it higher and stabilise it. You can see in the thread 'pics of your belt setup' on page 5, it has been discussed before.

Either that you can stand around like these bods wondering who/what is going to shut those open windows. Anyone got a ladder chaps ? :D

Not a boab in sight but does seems funny why that pole is extended like that unless he is going to try to demonstrate how to push shut those open windows.

I'm betting they don't pay to get their windows & cladding cleaned either :D

@Bingo I was trying to find that funny pic of the trad guy stuck on the end of the pole with another holding him up to the window but could not find it. Sorry so I posted that ***** instead

Sorry if you have already done it Dave have you got a pic of your boab trying to figure out the best way of carrying a small and a large applicator.

Definitely

I used a hot screwdriver to make the slots to feed the jubilee clips through and then adjust them to suit your handles

Then i snapped the spare end off by repeatedly bending it on each clip

I will take the tape off in a bit and show you as i am going to paint them.with hammerite as the tape starts to come off after being constantly wet and i don't want them to rust

This is what's so great about this forum. The boab always bothered me because it hung a bit too low, never considered modifying it until I read some of these posts. I've just done mine by doubling the strap back and threading a cable tie through. Will have a go cleaning like this, if I feel it needs to go a bit higher than I will rivet the female clip on the boab as shown on Rugbywolf picture.

Well done Dan.

I think it might be Unger, but if you're thinking of tying it to your leg, it doesn't

Who makes the BOAB with the small tab withb with hole in at the bottom so you can strap to your leg?
I think it might be Unger, but if you are thinking of tying it to your leg, it doesn't really work, as when you bend your leg the BOAB bends up with it. Also, it is not very comfortable.
