I don't like wearing bucket on a belt

WCF

Help Support WCF:

I can't stand boab's,

Tried using them but never been able to! I like to work light, literally have my bum bag and then hold the squeegee and applicator, worked like this for 8 years and never had a problem, I just go up the ladder with one hand, it's never been an issue,

I hated that when you Jump over gates the bucket gets in the way, and I just found the bucket was always bashing things and knocking around my leg, found it really frustrating, not to mention the damage it did to the blade rubber,

It's each to there own though - always will be, we all work differently!

I know to wrong to carry a squeegee in one hand and a T bar in the other climbing up the ladder but I just don't like wearing the bucket all day carry my squeegees when I am working.
I thinking of getting something like this below http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00KS6RUX6/ref=redir_mdp_mobile/280-4765328-2463868

It maybe the worst idea ever but there is a hole on my squeegees handle and was thinking of getting those hook though the squeegge handle hole and clip it to my trouser.

What you reckon?
You carry the applicator and squeegee in the same hand mate if you arent using a boab, squeggee on top of applicator. But i'd always recommend pouches, you are just making life 10 times harder without them

I agree that it can be a pain, but it depends on what kind of work you do. I always use one as I do shops in high streets and saves me bending over constantly taking a dip in bucket. Also easier going into shops collect money having free hands

If you use the Unger gear with the green plastic handles they wedge nicely in the holes at the top of your ladder at the end of the rungs.

Leave them up there and carry a bottle of water in your scrim pocket incase you need a dip.

As most of you lads already know. I push bike to various ladders dotted around town. I Unclip my BOAB and place it in my bucket of water and move on. The only time l have the BOAB on is when l do a house. l agree with what some of you have said about the position being important. Got to be more on ya hips rather than swinging. My stand off fits lovely on my handle bars too.... I do not always use a bucket though. I spend many months just topping a water bottle with a decent nozzle. Got l nice round with happy customer's. Sometimes l feel keeping things simple is the key. I spent many years now thinking of new ways. But. Always end up refining the basics...
