I was just reading your post with Interest Daveyboy. Its been pretty good, but not all plain sailing. Got a Gardiners v3 backpack which is very good. Production of pure water is a breeze....no hassle whatsoever. The sticky bit is getting perfect results. I obviously practiced on my windows a few times, with most results being superb. But!..on first cleans you can end up with white vertical marks....particularly at the top of the glass..

It can speed you up big style, but then you check your work and find the dreaded marks, so you have to do them again. It should get better on the second and third cleans. On first cleans, I tend to do them once...let them dry off a bit then go back and do them again.

I use my pole and backpack nearly everyday, mainly on the awkward windows that I used to hate. If the pole is out then I will also rattle off the frosted bathroom windows which saves a bit of time.

Windows above connys are still difficult to do....because of the angle and weight of the pole.

On the whole, its definitely helping me out and will do so more....as time goes on

Good fun but achy arms

Suppose i will.get used to that

What setup you got to make pure?

500ppm here and pure production is the only bit I need help with

Oh...and having a variable flow rate on your backpack is really good....helps to conserve water

Interesting that with first cleans, is that existing houses you clean the first time with WFP? or brand new customers?

Reason I ask is I had a couple of problems with one house that I got that had been done trade for a couple of years, I was getting soap suds out of the seals everywhere.

Never had the lines you describe though.

Existing customers so Its probably all the soap and dirt coming out of the seals......yet lots have come up perfectly. I am sure it will get better with time..

Thats the one.....spotting. I tend to do my first wfp cleans twice......turning up the waterflow on the second clean and flushing It down the glass...almost wave like

I do all mine on the lowest setting but this is only to make my water last...I never clean sills as I do that later on my check so I can look at the window its either clean or not clean usually look and go so not too bad..

some I did today were on a main road..not cleaned for over three months and a porch built since last time so pretty ******..

all came out fine on the glass...

some very hydrophobic leads had one or two spotting streaks but like I say on very low pressure water..

so why check...I dont always...but

..wouldnt want to miss them lacy g stings in the bedroom..

This Is what I bought Daveyboy.....I connect it to the outside tap. Takes about 45 mins to fill up my 25litre backpack....not fast, I know....but its ok for me. No hassle whatsover. Going to get a couple of 25 litre containers to fill and keep in the car. Ppm around here is 136....still needed the di filter to get the tds down to zero.

Got a fsg to do this morning

I know i haven't got pure but the woman has a hot and cold tap on the garden wall and said feel free to use the hot

Wonder what difference hot water and virosol will make on fascias

I have found that they white marks appear to be where someone has previously cleaned the window frames with some sort of cream based cleaner. Two options I have found have been 1) Doing a full clean and then waiting till mostly dry then going over it again till minty. Option 2) I spray the brush head with a weak mix of G101 or Ubix or similar then scrub the hell out of them then tons of rinsing, this tends to work best.

You will be amazed for a while to come at just how much dish soap is stored away in nooks and crannies the only solution is tons and tons of rinsing.

As for whoever mentioned they only have an oval brush I have a spare 10 in rectangular brodex laying around that I don't use if you want it. On the house. (no pun intended)
