You are implying that we are pish heads and alcoholics who get drunk every day, it's very rare I even get drunk I have a couple of beers in an evening and a few more on a weekend, I'm a real ale drinker who enjoys trying different beers, I don't drink to get drunk.
More than 25 years ago I was a drug addict an acholic and a gambler, you can't tell me much about addiction that I don't already know, people with addictions have something missing in their lives and have a mental battle going on, they have addictions to fill a void, when that void becomes filled with something else then they can kick the addiction(s) I can drink and not get carried away with it because I have no void to fill I have everything I need with my wife and family
maybe when you see a drunk person you see a reflection of what you were or could have been in another life, we all make personal choices and we had this out before on here, the lads I know on here ain't alcoholics
Now you go off and enjoy your drumming
Are you my twin! Same as you mate. A long time ago now but drugs, alcohol and gambling were my very serious poisons also. I haven’t gambled for years or taken drugs but I do like a glass of wine. I certainly won’t be lectured to for that one ‘vice’!
Good on you for turning your life around buddy.
It was a woman that turned my life around too

I wouldn’t pay too much attention to our resident life coach.
Instead of the preaching he would be better served offering advice and encouragement.
After all he’s been there.
But there you go. As the saying goes ‘there’s always one’. There used to be two but he’s off peddling his nonsense in another place.
Happy thoughts everyone. Spring is upon us!
