Huh? I thought shurflo was best on the market

My two shureflows have been working now for over 5 years, well the older one has. They are fine for wfp but you do need a controller otherwise the tank would pump itself dry in no time.

Ordinary garden hose is no way strong enough IMO and it actually holds too much water inside it so it weighs a ton. The biggest problem though is any air accumulates at the top of each loop and the flow is not strong enough to pump it round the loops and out. So you get weird pressure variations. With microbore it pumps straight out no problem and its gone.

Can't speak for the warranty ins and out, but I've a shurflo had it over 3 yrs and use 5 mm petrol hose, but only between 30 and 50 meters, pump also has by pass, don't know if that helps?

Daley is right as using 6mm nulls the warranty. 8mm is the best option as less strain on your pump
worng, have had this back form shurflo head office about the warranty:-

WARRANTY

SHURflo warrants Diaphragm Pumps to be free from material and workmanship defects under normal use and

service for a period of one (1) year from the data of manufacture or one (1) year of use with proof of purchase, not

to exceed (2) years in any event. The limited warranty will not apply to pumps that were run dry, misapplied, or are

incompatible with components not manufactured by SHURflo. Pump failure due to debris or chemical incompatibility

is not covered under the terms of this limited warranty. SHURflo will not warrant any pump that is physically

damaged, or altered outside the SHURflo factory. Warranty claims may be resolved by an authorized dealer service

center, or by SHURflo. For complete warranty details, please call your closest SHURflo office.

there is nothing wrong in using 6mm or 8mm hose for it. the only thing that voilds the warranty is the fact on not having a shurflo strainer fitted onto the pumps to stop any particals getting into the pump.
