Moerman Liquidator

WCF

Help Support WCF:

Anyone still having problems with the new channels???It has come to light that moerman have made the end clips slightly wrong as they should be holding the rubber a bit tighter

Polzn bladz is just sorting a vid as there is a very easy fix

He didn't know as his clips are how they should be but the manufactured ones are slightly out

They will be sorted at the company so they can make all others better

I will post the vid once he has
I thought it was just mine mate. The soft rubber it comes with is nice but the end clips arent working as they should, so at the moment there is more detailing. Are they sending out new ones mate?

Hi tap I don't have much detailing but it is not perfect but if it is a end clip problem then that's fair

tje same reason i clamp the end of my modded channels to stop the rubber riding out at the ends causing jumps

Does this mean we'll have to buy the new ones?

They are easily fixed.the end clips are 100% fine it is just they don't hold the rubber quite tight enough

Fixed with boiling water and nipping it a bit with pliers just like i do my modded ones

It takes seconds to fix

Moerman will be making them tighter in future but it will take a couple of weeks to retool for it

Bob was telling everyone it was 100% technique issue unaware that they were slightly wrong..apparently they thought it couldn't be tighter or we would never be able to swap rubbers..yet we have been doing it on modded ones for ages

Not slating it mate, far from it. I really like it. The channel is nice,and I like my new handle too, but I've taken a pic to show what's happening to the rubber;

I'm pressing it up against a door so it shows up better. The same thing is happening on the glass where the plastic clip is making contact. The only way I can get it to stop is to reduce the angle so much that the bottom of the handle of the squeegee is touching the glass, but thats not going to work. I havent tried a different rubber on it yet though so I'm off to go do that now.

used mine all day [in a wagtail] no problem whatsoever with the tips exactly as they came

You using hard or soft rubber??

Hard would eliminate the problem quite a bit anyway

soft . so what is the problem ? rubber pulling out of channel tip? it hasnt happened to me

Yeah they ride up a little out of the channel..quick dunk in boiling water and squeeze the end a touch with pliers.. problem solved

It is the same angle i think but the handle is different

I'll go to the motor in a mo and get em so i can take a pic of them together

I've just had an hour on it. The unger rubber is shorter then the Moerman, and its the hard stuff. it seemed to make a different, but the only way I could get it to work was with a really sharp angle. I could barely hold the squeegee as my fingers won't fit between handle and glass. I gave it a good hour and modified the technique as I see what you guys mean about the ticks- the shallower turns fixed that though. I just want to fix the other issue as when I got it to work it was amazing. I'm going to go and do the little fix on it now and see if that helps. I might even take a blow torch to the handle and bend it if I have to lol.

Thank fcuk for that...

Cheers Dave. The fix worked, its now working as it should straight away. What a great little squeegee. I would feel totally comfortable not doing any detailing whatsoever on the top and sides now. I could still do with finding a better angled handle but I may get used to it in time.

Now to try it out on some dirty windows.

Have you got the new moerman handle??

Feels weird at first but i love it now

And i use the 0° capability when doing insides when doing tight bathroom ones etc to be able to close out neatly
