Hi all, I've been looking into getting into the pressure washing business for a while. I've been asked by several of my clients if I do it and until now I have turned them down. This forum has been great at answering many of my questions but I'd just like to clarify a few things.
1) It seems the common consensus that for a good thorough and fast clean 21lpm and pressures over 3k psi are best for fsc and that Honda engines are best, however I have found this unit from Rutland pumps:
"Briggs and Stratton, 16hp 250 bar(3600psi) 21lpm interpump."
Briggs & Stratton 16HP V-Twin Petrol Pressure Washer 250 Bar 21LPM Interpump WS252
Is this a good machine? And is it a good machine for the price with £1k off? Any other suggestions?
2) nozzles: this is where I'm getting a bit unstuck, with all the information that I have read my mind is getting a bit boggled. Just how many types are there and what is used for each purpose? I'm a bit of a perfectionist and am worried about using the wrong nozzle/pressure for different surfaces and either damaging them or not cleaning them sufficiently.
I'm sorry for the long post but after spending hours trying to glen what I can my mind has officially decided to stop working. A lot comes with experience as with other businesses but a good shove in the right direction to start with is always a huge help.
Just to add, to start with I'm just looking at driveways/patios, paving/concrete/tarmac. But am looking to expand into as many areas as possible in time. Best to start small.
Thankyou in advance /emoticons/smile.png
