Hi how's everybody storing poles in the van I've got a dispatch so not the best amount of spare space I was thinking of putting some sort of metal rack on the inside of the roof for the gutter vac poles. Ad anybody got some photos 9f how there storing the poles please

110mm Plastic pipe - (Drain pipe) cut to length and a bracket at each end
cheap but effective

just to add - brackets screwed into the roof strengther - or for out high tops I run wood battens across and fix to those

+1 for Gutter downpipes + brackets as suggested above.

I used to have munsens holding them to roof but swapped vans and never refitted.

Went for wooden frame to hold multiple tubes but the brackets/screws kept snapping with van motions/weight so in the end 3 ratchet straps hold it tight to roof and I can slide items inbetween the straps as well.

Not pretty like Pjj but usable. 😅

I make all my own. Unistrut internal roof rack 68mm floplast black downpipe with brackets then 3D print my own end caps which hammer into the closed end

Affordable, robust & easy replaceable from any hardware superstore

Nice clean lines. That what I envisaged but my self tapping screws never held up. Can you point me in the right direction for the fitments to hold slotted rail to roof please?

It's easy really.
Most vans like mine have OEM threaded inserts in the roof strengthening channel

Don't ever use self tappers for structural work
Get yourself a quality rivnut set and gun drill bits and drill

My roof struts have oem m8 threaded inserts. I chased the threads with a tap and then used cheap diy store white rubber door stops and drilled them out to 8mm and utilised them as a spacer to create a small gap and to ensure galvanised metal doesn't contact my factory painted mild steel
