It looks like a simple flow controller has been put on in replacement to what existed from Brodex. It isn't switching off like the Spring or Varistream controllers do. (They switch off and then pulse the system/pump every 4 seconds which yours isn't doing.) The pump doesn't appear to have a pressure switch fitted at the pump head.
In the early days Brodex used a control board from a Varistream controller and now they are supplied by Spring controllers. This isn't one of them.
The Varistream looked like this
