I gotnmy first electric reel about 4 years back and got a slating for being 'lazy'
I don't think I know a window cleaner that isn't running electric reels today.
As for them being faster than manual winding. Yes they are.
I love them and will never go without one. Have had both manual and electric... yep I even have ladders. It's a real simple fact.. manual reels have no benefit other than being cheaper.
I run a power up HD that I've had for about 3 years now so as for cost it has worked out at literally pennies per day.
