Had new RO come today...the waters going in at around 240 ppm and coming out at 20 ppm...does this sound right? Wil a resin filter added bring down to 0 ppm?

 
Firstly you need to run it on flush for an hour.

Then close the valve to produce, see what you have then.

new you should be getting at least 98% rejection

yours is 240 - 20 = 220 then divide 220 by 240 = 0.916 times that by 100 equals 91.7%

So I`d say no you should be getting better results.

resin on its own would bring 240 to 000ppm, but this is not the answer, your RO should be producing better water than it is (new any way)

 
I had the same problem reading was 18/14ppm, Check your water pressure. My tap pressure was approx 40psi installed a booster pump now getting 2/4ppm
