Self service pure water

WCF

Help Support WCF:

3p + VAT, 3.6p per litre. As @Nudelsays expensive in the long run but a cheap way to start out. Actually think this will do a great deal of damage to our industry when they are up and running countrywide.
I do get What you say @Part Timer and to a small degree some people may take up on the glass as they won't have to purify themselves. Not Many though and I base this on that In my area near portsmouth there are at least 4 places selling pure water already cheaper than spotless and i believe a spotless location either open or opening soon in portsmouth. And despite this more work than you could ever do if you want It round here.

Also most the hand car wash places round here that are packed all the time use products you can get online or in Halfords and pressure washers. All available to publipublic but people don't want to do it themselves and not everyone sets up a hand car wash cos you can buy the kit!

The list goes on anyone can go to b&q get a ladder and pro gutter tools yet can't deal with enquires for gutter clearance and not everyone starts gutter cleaning business cos you can buy that kit!

Same with pressure washers you get the idea!!!

Anyone can buy kit to do jobs diy but don't have time or inclination and there aren't thousands of people wanting to become windies but waiting for the day spotless open a 24 hour expensive way to buy pure when I'm most towns you can do this anyway already!!

So yeah a small effect maybe and handy for us all of if we get caught short of water etc but a game changer to our industry I doubt it. Just my opinion

Interesting topic. I get my water from a supplier that provides across kent!  It is fantasic and run really well, just self service without punching in numbers and paying all time. I pay a once a month and can use what I want, as I am on my own working and the amount I do its not silly amounts of water but a fair amount as have a busy round. Brilliant price and I doubt I could produce it cheaper at home tbh. all the kit, the servicing of it, replacements, water bill on the meter, I would be raped! Also the the time and space it takes. I just pop in fill up go home and water is ready its bang in middle of my work, so is just perfect! Many others that go there say the same its a dream.

have however heard a fair amount of cleaners talking about customers getitng set ups and doing there own and i have also seen a customer doig his own with a cheap pole but pure water brought from said place....I dont think it will cut in much to our market tbh.  I think making window cleaners have licence is good as its nothing much to do, but shows you are commintted, would it put people off? Not to many as would only be forms to fill and cost a few quid and a little hassle meeting the requirments, maybe it might weed out the real fakers yes.  I think also gardeners, decorators etc, some are part time earning a few quid can turn up with mowers etc and do peoples gardens with electrical tools etc and no safter requirements, they pay no tax probably alot of them.  Why window cleaners have to be the base of subject? I think most real windies are very professional and care about there business.  I have learnt that being a window cleaner is a personal job and and a rapour with customers is built, staying not to professional and not to amature and finding a happy medium is key.  Alot of customers I find dont like the bigger companies, I get it so so much, they imo prefer a local guy whom does a good job and is genuine. I thik then when you have a roudn you dont lose people, I rarely lose anyone and can not take much on in areas as built up to much.  Going a bit off topic!

How much does it cost you guys say to make a weeks amount of water that you actually use? Interested to hear, it will vary in amount of water I know but intersting to see how much it costs to make X amount of water or how much costs making water are per each 3 months.

Same as the place i buy mine mate for the price i pay as I pay them up front for a high volume then fill up when needed I would struggle to make it cheaper especially down here where water Is so hard. Don't get me wrong over a period of time it would eventually be cheaper but it's tax deductible anyway so just claiming it back and bit less goes to tax man! Also same i do see diy people occasionally come in with barrels to do there own Windows but most people can't be bothered to clean there own Windows let alone but a pole backpack etc to do it. That's why while i think to a point you will get a few new window cleaners and a few people having a go themselves it's not a game changer like others seem to think. I mean people could always go and buy a ladder squeegee mop and scrim but the trad guys still had a job!!

Much do they charge? I read its £30 plus vat making it £36 per 1,000 litres. Don't see them coming to Scotland as our water charge is built into our council tax and we can take as much as we want. Today I seen the clothes recycling units being removed from Asda carpark. I don't think there is any money in Cash 4 Clothes because all their shops are closed up here. Anything will only last if there is money in it. Take Turpentine, today it cost me nearly £14 for 4 litres, I remember it was £6 and I was complaining. Cant understand why its twice the price of petrol? :1f622:

Yeah that's about the price I heard mate. Good in an emergency I guess but certainly round here plenty of suppliers already much much cheaper and I've never found myself needing water in the middle of the night! So between 7 and 5 should atill be ok lol. I do hope it works out for spotless I wanna see any venture do well I just don't see how many people will pay that price

I think Spotless are ok on price but I believe in a year's time it will be 4p plus vat because the greed kicks in.

It's pretty pricey mate but if people are happy to pay good luck to em. One thing that's sure I guess with pure is even if your paying 4p a L plus vat your still making good of money out of a tank but the more the better ?
