i Would put Them in a jar and close the lid !:hehehe:

I have 2 customers that stop for winter so I'm happy to accommodate them but I have had a few start and stop over the years. Its quite funny really cos I know exactly whats happened now, they can't get a window cleaner for love nor money.

There's 4-5 different companies in my area and we all get on well, so the best thing to do is talk to all your fellow windys and freeze em out!!

Now, they can't find anyone to clean there windows cos we all know who they are!!!

I can't be doing with time wasters, you either want them cleaned or you don't. Don't muck me about!!
So good when this happens. I had a couple of new customers recently that I tried to give to @Posh , turned out they were messers that he had scrapped before they called me. Saved me a load of hassle as they were out of my way anyway. Would be great to have an official black list, but just knowing a few local windies is good enough.

I had 1 this morning that me and @Adams0211 had been recommended for on facebook

She was a messer i had previously dumped so i warned Neil not to bother

Would be very handy to have a blacklist

There was a rumour going around here about pikeys having a secret code that they would spray paint on lamposts/streets/paths etc to let leach other know about good streets to burgle. It was probably just an urban legend, but maybe something like that could work. A small inconspicuous black dot above the house number to warn off the next windy. I have had a couple that I wouldnt wish on anyone.

And we can all have monty python secret hanshakes to recognise each other

This is true Mr T. Mostly chalk makings on gate posts or on pavements outside properties. The markings were a special code with differing meanings. I can't remember them now but as an example, it was like two lines and a dot, meaning old and vulnerable or a square meaning nothing worth taking. There were about ten marks each with a meaning. I used to have a list of them all when I was in the police.

I really don't understand some people. She wanted a window cleaner. She got one. She messed you about. She got dumped. She wanted a window cleaner again. She contacted me. I gave her a price and asked her about access. She doesn't reply. What is wrong with people? She either wants a window cleaner or she doesn't o_O

Thats interesting. So was it a nationwide thing, or just a group in a small area? I never thought it was true when I heard about it. I suppose now the old bill know, they have ditched the idea have they?

No not really. All through my service it was common knowledge and they still used it. It was a quick turn around. A couple of them, normally children or young girls would door knock, asking for a glass of water or getting directions etc They were spotting potential victims and marking the properties so that adults could return, often within 24 hours and carry out the crime.

Thieves are everywhere. When I was in Cornwall last year, my son and I built a lovely sandcastle in the evening. When we went back the next day it was completely gone! Robbing g1ts /emoticons/biggrin.png
