My tank in part was frozen n  reel in the rented garage few years ago,   now van has immersion heater, great, just have it on drive.

Throw old blankets over the tank as soon as you have filled it after work,

and bring the hose reel in if not mounted, we should not be getting caught out like this any more. Check the weather on your phones xc weather is the best IMO
