No way that should be a problem, its slippyer than a slippy thing. Sounds like you need to squirt more in the bucket mate. I only plan to get 10 maybe 15 buckets out of a bottle if that gives you any idea. Stick a few dots on the applicator too, to kickstart the suds a little.

OK. I've been using it for about ten years, first in a bucket of water and now with a spray. In a spray I wanted a strong 'solution' (what Polzn bladz is on about in his vids), that is high in detergent but does not run. The (HG) instructions state 10 to 15 cc in five litres, so I put the maximum 15 cc to sort the dirt, but then put in the washing up liquid to get slidability. So I think that you are just wasting it, putting so much in, considering the cost of it. There are 500 ccs in the bottle and if you get only ten buckets out of it, that's 50cc in each bucket, nearly twice as much as you need, when you can get slip with washing up liquid.

I tried squeegee off a while ago and remember liking it. I'm keen to try it again as i'm now more aware of the differences between soaps and solutions, also be good to compare with the HG.Never tried an Unger soap believe it or not, they sell it at my local shop, worth a try or....?

When I couldn't get HG and was looking round for a replacement, I noticed that 'Squeegee off' and 'HG' are the same colour, in the same bottle, with the same label, so I naturally jumped to the conclusion that 'Squeegee off' is made by 'HG'. Since I bought some 'Squeegee off' and have been using it in exactly the same way as I did with the 'HG' I have not experienced any difference.

It does seem like a waste but at the moment I'm still experimenting with it. Even at the reletively large dilutions I use its only 35p a bucket, I don't mind sparing that for the time it saves me detailing, and the percieved increased performance/slip.

Yeah now you mention it someone on this thread (Tolish or Tench I think) said they suspected it's the same as squeegee off! The HG's a bit cheaper though I think. Like Tolish I'm also experimenting! Keeps me interested /emoticons/smile.png

BTW some 60 B&Q stores are closing down nationwide and all stock is clearance, non will be shipped out and I have been told in the final sales between now and late November it will range from 20% upto 90% discounts at the end.

Could be worth seeing if you have one closing and stock up on the HG

Just got my GG3, had a quick shot, just a wee squirt in the bucket, seems to be ok, think I needed a bigger squirt, I was getting some lines with it, maybe rubber needing changed its quite strong smelling ended up using my asda ecover washing liquid with it for more suds, no lines.

Not supposed to have any suds with GG products Windowsurfer.

Are you in a hard water area as GG3 is aimed more at hard water areas than GG4.

3-4 cap fulls in 5L of water should suffice plenty.

The whole point of a decent window cleaning 'soap' is no suds as these are ultimately what will cause spotting if not dealt with properly and cause more detailing.

Can't beat a bit of asda eco soap for a bit of slip @windowsurfer

Out of all the soaps I've use it gives the least visible marks if left to dry on the glass

Proffesional stuff is better but as i don't detail anyway and always wipe the frames i don't see the need for my own use

After all the rave reviews of Ecover soap I finally ordered some a couple of weeks back online, you can't get it here in Western Oz! With shipping it cost me a bit, but what the hell. Anyway I've been trying it out with the liquidators and different make rubbers and i like the slip and really no marks left over, apart from when i didn't apply enough soap. I will say though that I have found that you need to apply a line on the scrubber every few windows to get the soap/slip again, i found putting some in bucket not as good. I will buy more of it but it won't last as long as the WCD 70 i use. I am also thinking of buying some Squeegee off after reading what Tench had to say.

ive fininly fuked the unger liquid off i pored a hole bottol of hg in it still no suds so chucked a hole bottol of fairy in now there suds this mix is now for upvc only ill never wast money on the unger again got some more squeege off fiel mcj beta now i luv the stiff i found hg had more suds than squeege off maby its just more consontrated ?
