Can anyone shed some light on why the uni-valve I have just purchase is not working, it's correctly connected, it seems to be functioning correctly but won't stop the water flow when I pull the hose, the slider pulls in & out on the bottom, Ive contacted the seller, he claims he has sold several with no issues, have I got a dud?

I had a problem with a univalve when the tail end snapped and they asked me to send it back and I was then sent a replacement out very quickly.

Thanks Mike, yea this seems to click on/off correctly but the water does not shut off, seems it will need to be returned!

I think you can put the o ring too far up the stem, so that when it is pulled it's not allowed to return to the off position. It may be worth looking at that..

Guys..I know what I'm doing, I connected it with ease, this is not the problem, it's a faulty item, just wondered if anyone else had encountered similar, I've took it apart (cleared this action with the seller first) and it clearly does not shut the water off, inside is pretty basic, 2 rubber O rings, spring & plastic sleeve, just can't get my head around why the valve won't close?

Ok..I've had this apart about 5 times, shouldnt need to do this with a new item, but now I have it working, I'm certain this piece wasnt assembled correctly in the beginning, it seems the plunger at the end (towards brush head) wasn't fully in & reluctant to do its job, just something for any future potential buyer to look out for, if you incur the valve not stopping the water flow!
