Arghhh! Finally have everything setup in van and decided to fill tank up a bit and try system out. Its Facelift compact 325L, some little spurts of water came out initially for few seconds and then nothing. Just wondering is there something that has to be done on first time use or does it sound like an air lock? I just cracked away with my trolley and worked perfectly previous but unfortunately that's the only basis of comparison I have.

Sounds like an airlock. If you can hear the pump then either take the outlet connector on the pump off or get your lips around the hose and give it a suck

No mate I don't but it's all good now. Snipped off connector and gush of air came from hose, sucked hose like lads said... got a mouthful of water lol but did the job. Thanks for the help lads, appreciate it.

You mentioned that you filled the tank up a bit?.

You'll find that when your tanks nearly empty and water is sloshing around you will get airlocks.

Best try filling it up full and then as others mentioned turn up controller and get any airlocks out. ?

Fitting an inline non return valve can help.

If you want to avoid cutting off the connector whenever you have an air lock, you could make yourself one of these.

Make sure it points upwards so the air can escape.

I added the brass coupling so it sinks to the bottom when you fill up your bucket.
