Has anyone got one of these or tried one? i'd be worried about it scratching the glass?

No it wouldn't it's plastic, I do believe it only fits the tecbuk ariel though. It's made to fit them and is only about 2 inches wide.

They don't scratch the glass. They are good, sometimes hard to do on tops tho.. I was able to remove paint and silicone from a first clean yesterday with it on ground windows.

You will need the brush head attachment tho for this to work.

What I would recommend is the scrubber pad from tecbuk.. They are a lot easier to use

i just soak things well and then use the corner of the brush and it comes off 99% of the time.

Not use a tecbuk yet so can't comment how good they are.

I've experimented with chepo plastic scrapers from b&q to help remove lichen from plastic conservatory roofs etc either attached to a pole or used by hand. Also used them on window sills & glass without any issues but edges don't last long. I find them always handy to keep in the van as well as the usual window cleaning stainless steel scraper.

You can also get plastic window cleaning scrapers that fitters use to remove labels etc from glass.

Hi Toby

I make the wfp brush scrapers, it won’t mark the glass.

The scraper is attached to the brush, so they are designed to be used with the adjustable angle adapter. You adjust the angle to suit what ever the angle or distance you are working from the window.

The Scrub Pad is attached to the angle adapter; you can set up the angle for the scrub pad separate from the brush, so you just turn the pole around and use the scrub pad.

As mentioned by JDMW if you soak for a minute this helps loads, using a Boars Hair will then remove most things. Scrapers & pads are used on occasion, handy to have.

I rub the edge of the Tecbuk scraper with Abranet to re-new the edge, if I get a nick in it Smurf.

Emery cloth will also do as will a bit of sandpaper, these might also work with any other plastic scrapers you have been using.

I've got the gardener scraper/pad good bit of kit don't use it much but beats getting the ladder off

I do the same as above. If there is so much that this is insufficient I use the q-loq adapter that allows me to fit a scraper to the end of the pole, whip the brush off fit the scraper. I've had it for six months and used it twice. I can't get on with anything attached to the back of the brush. See next note re use though.

Ettore, Unger and others make them but do be careful when using them on an extended pole as they have extremely sharp blades and you don't want them falling on you or anyone else if they come off.
