which van should i get?

WCF

Help Support WCF:

Combo LWB 2012 On - Doblo Maxi 2010 On. I read the other day either of the lengths can be specified with the higher payload, the 2000 is 750kg payload and the 2300 a ton. Awesome van when they run!!!

Wow, that's pretty impressive. I've never looked at one newer than 2010 so hadn't come across one with that payload. 1ton is a lot for something not much bigger than a car derived van.

Here's one that looks in pretty good nick @david mcwhirter

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Citroen-berlingo-800-lx/302682891594?hash=item46794e654a:g:eFIAAOSwhaBat-WX

MOT history is pretty good as well. Just failed for silly little things apart from the antiroll bar linkages in 2016 - nothing major. If I was looking at a small van this would tick most boxes.

Citroen Galvanised the bottom of these vans up to about 1/2 way up the door level. So the underneath is usually pretty rust free.

The only weakness is the rear suspension, but you can get reconditioned units for around £250.00 plus an hour and a half removal and fitting.

It has a side loading door and it looks like an ex British Gas 800 lx. The seat looks like it has a little damage to the upholstery which is a shame.

But as with most car derived vans, you would need to creat a 'tub' using fiberglass and top coat to stop spilled water from getting into the footwells. We've done this on son's van. His holds a 500 litre tank and that's more than enough to get him through the day when he uses his van.
