8mm microbore vs 6mm minibore

My uncle is wondering if anyone use 6mm minibore or microbore hose for hose reel and what pros or cons there are compared to 8mm microbore? Does it snag less because it's thinner or anything?

 
Other way round 6mm micro 8mm mini. I us e8mmm and now wanting 6mm. Much lighter and better to us eI am told. Why most sell only 8mm is beyond me though
